Phin Brewing Instructions:
Heat Water: Heat water to 190–205°F (just below boiling).
Grind Coffee: Use a medium-fine grind, slightly finer than pour-over but coarser than espresso.
Set Up Phin: Place the chamber on top of your mug and add 2 tablespoons (about 14g) of ground coffee. Lightly shake to level the ground coffee.
Set the Press: Gently set the filter press on the coffee and twist lightly to secure it onto the chamber.
Bloom: Pour 1 oz of hot water evenly over the coffee and let it bloom for 30 seconds.
Brew: Fill the chamber about 3/4 full with hot water to prevent overflow when covered with the lid. Let the coffee filter through.
Serve: Once brewed, enjoy it black or mix it with sweetened condensed milk. Pour over ice for “cà phê sữa đá”.
